The dentist must determine the type of anesthesia to be used in dental treatment in a pediatric patient. The use of anesthesia aims to reduce the patient's stress and anxiety.
In complex cases it is advisable to use general anesthesia or conscious sedation, after adequate preparation of the child to avoid risks during the dental procedure.
