Orthodontics

During orthodontic treatment, a series of procedures are performed and one of them is dental stripping or IPR (interproximal reduction), which consists of reducing the width of the teeth.

The interproximal wear should not be greater than 0.5mm and is done with the objective of having small spaces to align the teeth. This procedure does not have negative consequences on the teeth, as long as it is performed by a trained professional.

Overdoing this procedure can cause tooth sensitivity. We share an interesting video from the Braces Explained channel.
