Anterior dental esthetics in primary teeth - Oral Rehabilitation

When you want to rehabilitate a primary tooth that has been affected by a fracture or extensive dental caries, some characteristics must be taken into account, such as the small size of the tooth and the large size of the dental pulp.

Primary teeth can be affected by bottle tooth decay, or by hypoplastic defects, and in some cases by bruxism. The restoration technique as the aesthetic material to rehabilitate the tooth will be chosen after a correct evaluation by the professional.

Early Treatment of Anterior Crossbite with Eruption Guidance Appliance: A Case Report

The anterior crossbite is a type of malocclusion in the anteroposterior plane, characterized by having the lower teeth in front of the upper ones. Early evaluation is important to diagnose malocclusion and through interceptive orthodontics to correct it.

During this clinical case, an eruption guidance appliance (EGA) was used in a 05-year-old patient (mixed dentition) for 07 months with satisfactory results.

Severe early childhood caries: an integral approach

It is considered early childhood caries, when the carious process affects one or more primary teeth in children under 06 years of age. This infection is of multifactorial etiology, transmissible and of rapid development.

Treatment will depend on the extent of the injuries and requires interdisciplinary management to achieve successful rehabilitation. In these cases the cooperation of the parents is necessary.

Riga Fede disease is an ulcer that appears on the ventral aspect of the tongue of newborn babies or infants with natal or neonatal teeth. These ulcers are painful and are involved in feeding babies.
